Description

In this workshop you will review energy and electricity basics, design and test blades, explore related energy education resources, and preview ready-to-use renewable energy curriculum: https://www.kidwind.org/activities.

Who will benefit from this workshop? Grades 5-12 educators who teach alternative energies, environmental education, and STEM.

Participants also learn about a potential South Dakota KidWind Challenge that may take place this spring and gain tips for coaching student teams through the process of designing and constructing small-scale turbines. Educators will leave with the resources and confidence to use renewable energy as a lens into hands-on science, technology, and engineering exploration in the classroom!
