Normal IL Wind Energy Workshop
This 6-hour, hands-on workshop engages 4th-12th grade educators in meaningful exploration of wind technologies, careers, and connections to real NASA projects exploring wind energy on other planets. Next, participants will design a wind turbine for the Red Planet in the Challenger Learning Center’s Discovery Lab.
Upon completion of the day’s experiences, teachers will receive 5 CEU credits, reimbursement for mileage and substitute teacher costs, and over $100 in STEM equipment for use in their own classroom.
