Our team is from Irvine , California, United States. We are from Ardent Academy for Gifted Youth, and are in the K-4 age category. 1st Grade Student Competing in the Solar House Design Challenge for Ardent Academy. What were some of the challenges you faced, and how did you solve them? We bought copper wire that didn't conduct electricity. It wasn't real copper. We rewired using copper tape. What were your design goals? Tell us about the features in your house: I made an upstairs and a downstairs, both have lights. My house has two fans. A switch controls the light and a switch controls the fans.
