KidWind is working with NexGen Energy Partners to bring a Wind Energy Science Teacher Workshop to Boulder Colorado.
In this FREE workshop participants will
learn the basic principles behind wind energy and how to introduce students to
wind energy concepts using standards-based activities in an engaging, hands-on
manner.Participants will also get the
chance to see several wind turbines up close at the National Renewable Energy
Laboratory in Golden, Colorado.
Over $75 worth of classroom materials and a comprehensive curriculum package are included in the course!

On August 6-7 the Dakota Resource Council along with the ND Department of Commerce is sponsoring a workshop for any interested k-12 teachers. This event is open to all teachers and attendees are eligible to receive credit from UND Continuing Education Program.

This FREE one-day workshop will appeal to middle/high school science and technical education teachers who are interested in renewable energy, physics, engineering and design. Elementary educators are also welcome to attend. NO knowledge of wind energy is required to attend the course.
In this workshop participants will learn the basic principles behind wind energy and how to introduce students to wind energy concepts using standards-based activities in an engaging, hands-on manner. This course will also include a tour of The Grey County Wind Energy Center.
Over $75 worth of classroom materials and a comprehensive curriculum package are included free of charge to each participant in the course.
