KAIZEN

Our team is from Coachella, California, United States. We are from Bobby Duke Middle School, and are in the 5-8 age category. We are Engineering Academy students from Bobby Duke Middle School. We are very passionate about the use of wind power as a renewable source of energy and we call our team "kaizen" because we believe in the concept of continuous improvement. We have considered various factors and tried various ways and options in the design of our turbine ... blades, gear system, pitch, base, lift and drag, friction, airfoil and structural stability. We are happy to achieve good power output so far, but we continue to believe that the best is yet to come. This is our "kaizen" philosophy.
