Renewable Energy Workshop for Educators

Join us and learn how to explore the power of renewable energy with your students. The workshop is designed to help you prepare to participate in the 2020 Minnesota Renewable Energy Challenge!

Come to this workshop to learn about the science and technology around wind turbines and blade design. The energy-based content combined with practical standards connected classroom activities will make it easy to bring renewable energy to your classroom. Watch what happens at our workshops here.

What can you expect?

  • This is a FREE Training!

  • Materials are geared towards middle school and high school teachers.

  • We will explore lessons around wind and solar energy, wind turbines, blade design, basic circuitry and solar panel siting.

  • Teachers do not need any prior knowledge of renewable energy. They will learn about how wind power works and how to implement activities in your classroom.

  • Preservice teachers are also invited!
