Wind Tunnel Development

The portable wind tunnel is an ongoing project that is constantly undergoing development. We currently have one completed tunnel we use during competitions. We are also building two more using different methods to make them easier and cheaper to construct and use.

Wind Tunnel 1

In 2008 the first wind tunnel was designed, engineered and constructed by students and teachers at the Belmont Cattaraugus-Allegany BOCES. We provided the team with a $2000 budget and our requirements for the device in terms of safety, testing and portability.

Wind Tunnel 2

During the Winter of 2009/2010 Andy Lueth made some modifications to the wind source and data logging systems... here are some shots under construction.
