We would not be where we are today without the forward thinking of some very cool individuals. The development of our initial resources and teacher workshops was sponsored by the Wright Center for Science Education at Tufts University in 2003-04. During a part-time fellowship, I was able to turn a small classroom project into a program that could be shared with educators and students. After the fellowship concluded and KidWind was left to its own devices, two other folks kept the small project going with some grants: Dick Michaud, who used to work at the Boston office of the US Department of Energy, and Trudy Forsyth at the National Wind Technology Center. These two individuals had the vision to see the importance of what we were trying to accomplish, and found the time and resources to make it happen. The education world thanks these folks very much!
KidWind is supported by a wide range of cool individuals. These are people who donate their time, talent or money to helping us improve all of our product offerings. It ranges from wind engineers who evaluate our curriculum for accuracy and content, to the interns that donate their time and efforts to keep our humble operations running.
