We do not sell, give, or share your e-mail address with anyone. We do enter your e-mail address into UPS and U.S. Postal software so that you will be notified with a tracking number.

We do not provide/give/share/sell your personal name, address (or any other information about you) to anyone or with any business. However, if we have something shipped direct from a manufacturer/distributor, we have to provide them with your name and address - so they can ship the package!

We do not track where you were before visiting us or after leaving us.

We absolutely do NOT participate with Advertising Networks such as DoubleClick, LinkShare, Engage, 24/7, LinkExchange, ValueClick just to name a few.

We do not participate with "Referers" (information passed along when you move from one site to another or use our search feature or even just sending e-mail).

We do not give your IP address to others.

We do not offer your info to third part databases such as Acxiom and Experian.

Sometimes we will share the praise we have received from our customers (only your first name, city and state) on our satisfied customers page. We always ask for your permission before showing your "thank you" words, notes and pictures.

We do list some famous companies and institutions that we have shipped to or worked on project with. If you work for a famous business and do not wish for us to publicly thank that business, please do let us know as we have been known to share the name of the school, governmental body, or popular business on our site as gratitude and "thanks".

Children's Privacy Policy

KidWind recognizes the need to provide additional privacy protections when younger students visit our site. Students under the age of 13 are protected by these additional protections.

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") requires that we inform parents and legal guardians about how we collect, use, and disclose personal information from children under 13 years of age; and that we obtain the consent of parents and guardians in order for children under 13 years of age to use certain features of our Web sites. Below we explain how we do that for these "kids." Also, when we use the term "parent" below, we mean to include legal guardians.

1) What types of personal information do we collect about kids?

We do not collect personal information from kids unless they register for the KidWind Community, Kidwind Challenge Event or purchase products from the Kidwind Shop.

The only information we collect from kids under 13 during our registration process for the KidWind Community is a kid's first name, parent's e-mail address, member name, and password.

We do not collect any other personally identifiable information from kids during our registration process.

We may collect personal information from parents in order to allow kids under 13 to participate in certain features located on our Web sites and to contact them if they have won drawings or prizes from online contests.

2) How do we use and share the personally identifiable information that we have collected about kids?

If a kid registers for the community or for a challenge, we use the parent's e-mail address to notify the parent of the kid's registration request and we provide parents 48 hours to refuse their kid's registration and entry into the Kidwind Communnity or Challenge.

If the parent refuses to allow the kid's registration and entry, we delete the kid's information from our database. If we don't hear back from the parent, we assume it is acceptable for the kid to be registered.

Once a parent permits a kid to register, the kid will be able to enter future registration-based contests without any further notification to the parent.

Before allowing a kid to use a feature of our Web sites that might result in the public disclosure of the kid's information to third parties on the Internet, such as posting on message boards, we require a high level of verification to confirm that the parent has given permission for the kid's participation in such features.

We may require a parent to speak to us over the phone or return by postal mail a signed consent form.

3) How can parents access, change or delete personally identifiable information about their kids?

At any time parents can refuse to permit us to collect further personal information from their kid and can request that any personal information we have collected be deleted from our records.

A parent can contact our customer service department to access, change, or delete the personal information that we have collected from his or her kid by sending an e-mail to rob@kidwind.org. Please include the kid's member name and the parent's e-mail address in the e-mail so that we can better assist you with your inquiry or request. You can also contact us at (877) 917-0079.
