Jeff Novich, Caitlin Costin and Mark O'Brien from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism recently completed a documentary, Winds of Change, for their masters project.   The documentary takes and honest look into the history of electricity, the 2003 blackout, and some large wind farms in the Northeast, especially New York.

This video provides a visual history of wind power and presents the recent technological accomplishments of the U.S. wind energy industry. Wind Energy at Spirit Lake Elementary School 

This video features the wind energy installation story of the Spirit Lake Elementary School in Iowa. The school designed a wind energy project that led to the installation of a large scale wind turbine at the school in 1993.  The wind turbine has been used in the school's classes as an educational tool and it has made a significant contribution to the environment.  Available from the American Wind Energy Association http://www.awea.org.

An Introduction to Residential Wind Systems with Mick Sagrillo

Wind Over Water

Wind Over Water is a documentary chronicling the debate over the Cape Wind Project, an offshore wind farm proposed for off the southern coast of Cape Cod, MA. With similar facilities spreading throughout Northern Europe, many people were excited at the prospect of the first offshore wind project ever to be proposed for American shores.
