KidWind Project Supporters and Collaborators
A Message from Michael Arquin, director:
Many people are curious as to how we keep this operation up and running. I have to admit, in the early days I wondered about it myself!
In 2003-04, the development of our initial resources and teacher workshops were sponsored by the Wright Center for Science Education at Tufts University. During a part-time fellowship, I was able to turn a small classroom project into something I can share with many educators and students. After the fellowship concluded, KidWind was left to its own devices. We were able to support the work through product sales, donations from industry members, and grants from state and regional energy groups.
I'd like to thank two individuals for keeping us alive during the very early days: Dick Michaud, who used to work at the Boston office of the US Department of Energy, and Trudy Forsyth at the National Wind Technology Center. These two individuals had the vision to see the importance of what we were trying to accomplish, and found the time and resources to make it happen. We thank you very much!
Below is a list of supporters and collaborators. We thank them for their generosity, vision, and assistance.
